The throughline

I spend my days inside real enterprise deployments — the version of AI and security that has budgets, deadlines, and people who never asked to be in the middle of it. That's the work at Microsoft. It's also where I learned that the hardest part is almost never the technology.

The hardest part is that the people most affected by these systems are the ones the field explains things to last, and worst. Front-desk staff. Small-business owners. Nurses, teachers, contractors, my own family. They aren't confused because the material is beyond them. They're confused because nobody bothered to say it plainly.

So I teach. A graduate course I designed at UNLV, workshops for teams and boards, and a free program I founded at the public library for adults with no technical background — the same care in the classroom and the community room. And I do all of it in English and Spanish, because half the people I most want to reach were never going to get this content in their first language otherwise.

Jargon shouldn't be the price of admission to safety.
